After a long summer spent resting during the day and looking for a food at night, it returns back to its lair and sleeps until spring. Meanwhile, it wakes up either to mate or feed its belly. Racoon, as a bear does, deals with family issues by not accepting any responsibility. After a short dating period in the middle of winter, it goes back to its single life.
